A compressor for every trade
Every trade has its tools, its working pace and its air-quality needs. Choose yours: typical tools, recommended series and a calculation of your demand.
Why choose your compressor according to your trade?
Two workshops of the same size do not necessarily have the same compressed air needs. A body shop needs very clean, very dry air for painting. A truck workshop uses a lot of air in bursts with its impact wrenches. A joinery shop works in dust, which clogs the filters. A production line runs continuously, sometimes over several shifts.
Each trade page answers the same questions:
- which tools are used and how much air they consume;
- which series of AIRSTAHL compressors is suitable, screw or piston;
- what air quality to aim for: dryer, filtration, air receiver;
- common mistakes to avoid when buying or installing.
Screw or piston: the simple rule
For occasional use, a few hours a day, a piston compressor is often enough. As soon as the workshop uses air continuously or with several workstations at the same time, a screw compressor is the clear choice: it is designed to run for long periods, it is quieter and it consumes less for the same air flow. The configurator does this calculation for you based on your tools.
