How to choose a compressed air installation

Three questions decide an installation: how much air your tools use, at what pressure, and how you use it (in bursts or continuously).

  • Compressor configurator: it adds up the consumption of your tools, takes into account how many people work at the same time and suggests an AIRSTAHL compressor, with the matching air receiver and dryer.
  • Air receiver size for your tools: the receiver (air tank) stores air to absorb consumption peaks and space out compressor starts. The configurator calculates the volume you need and how many 1,000 L receivers to add.
  • CFM, l/min and kW conversion: American data sheets use CFM, European ones l/min or m³/min. Convert the flow, then see which compressor power in our range delivers it.
