Flow, pressure and power converter

European, American or Chinese data sheets: convert flow, pressure and power in an instant.

Air flow
Pressure
Motor power

Indicative estimate, to be confirmed with the actual specifications of your machines.

How this is calculated

Conversions used: 1 m³/min = 1,000 l/min = 60 m³/h; 1 l/s = 60 l/min; 1 cfm (cubic foot per minute) = 28.317 l/min. 1 bar = 14.504 psi = 0.1 MPa = 100 kPa. 1 kW = 1.36 metric hp (PS/CV) = 1.341 HP (horsepower). On a data sheet, check whether pressure is given in gauge bar (above atmospheric pressure, the most common case) or absolute bar.

Reading a compressor data sheet

The stated air flow should be the free air delivery (FAD), measured at the compressor outlet and converted to intake conditions. Some manufacturers state the intake air flow, which is more flattering. Also check the pressure at which the air flow is given: the same compressor delivers less air at 10 bar than at 8 bar. For power, compare the motor power in kW rather than in horsepower, which has several definitions.
