Compressor for spray booths

Which compressor for a spray booth? Dry, filtered air at stable pressure with AIRSTAHL screw compressors. 2-year warranty, after-sales service in France.

A spray booth is unforgiving of poor-quality compressed air. Water, oil or dust in the system, and the finish pays the price: craters, bubbles, poor flow-out. Choosing the compressor that supplies the booth is therefore as much about air quality as it is about power.

Three rules for supplying a spray booth

1. Dry the air before the booth

Compressed air naturally contains water vapour, which condenses as it cools in the pipes. A refrigerated dryer installed after the compressor removes this moisture before it reaches the spray gun.

2. Filter as close as possible

Filtration at the compressor outlet, backed up by a filter at the painting station, captures particles and oil aerosols. This is what makes a clean finish possible, coat after coat.

3. Keep the pressure stable

The spray gun needs steady pressure throughout each pass. A correctly sized air receiver acts as a buffer and smooths out variations in demand.

Which AIRSTAHL compressor to choose

  • One booth, one workshop: the Screw compressor 7.5 kW 4-in-1 integrates a 420 L air receiver, the dryer and filtration. It is the simplest solution to install.
  • One booth and several preparation bays: the 11 kW and 15 kW models, combined with an air receiver and a dryer suited to your network.
